Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

In 1 Corinthians 13, love is described in detail, all the things it is and all the things it is not. Love is patient and kind. It is not jealous, boastful, or proud. It is not rude, and it does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love never gives up or loses faith because it is always hopeful.

I would ask, do you love? Do you really know how? Many people have no idea what love is or how to love others. But if we take the time to learn how to love unconditionally as God does, that love will never fail, but instead will endure through every trial and tribulation.

The world will not be changed through our opinion of love. It will be changed by how we show each other love. The Bible says, they will know we are Christian’s by our love. Jesus shows love through our caring for other people.

We need to seek out ways to show love to one another. We need to find ways to care for each other and meet one another’s needs. We need to place our hope in Jesus and allow Him to lead us through a lifetime of loving each other.

Father God, thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your grace, kindness, and mercies that are new every morning. Please fill our hearts with your love that we might lavish it upon others, in the name of Jesus.
